Sure to become a favorite in your house, this twist on traditional french toast is popular with apple lovers.

Ingredients
1loafbread(Challah or Brioche)
4largeeggs
2cupsmilk(or almond milk)
1tspcinnamondivided
¼tspground ginger
4applescored, peeled and sliced into wedges
½cupbrown sugardivided
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a baking pan.
In a mixing bowl whisk the eggs, milk, ground ginger, and ½ tsp cinnamon. Set aside.
Add cubed bread to a gallon size zip lock bag and pour in the mixture from step 2 and let it soak for 5 minutes
In another mixing bowl add the diced apples sprinkle with ½ tsp cinnamon and ¼ cup sugar brown sugar and mix well.
Check the bread to make sure all pieces are getting well soaked
Next, spoon the bread mixture inside the baking pan leaving room to top with the apples. Sprinkle remaining sugar
Bake on a center rack for 25-30 minutes. You'll know when it's done because the bread and apples will be golden brown and the egg mixture will no longer be wet.
Remove from oven and serve immediately.
Top each slice with any remaining sautéed apples and maple syrup.
